On August 8th, 2005 the first ever Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls program happened in Brooklyn.

MISSION

Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls (WMRC) is a non-profit music and mentoring program that empowers girls, women and gender non-conforming (GNC) youth and adults through music education, volunteerism, and activities that foster self-respect, leadership skills, creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration.
