Support Our RelocatioN
In May 2018 Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls was unexpectedly given a month's notice to move from the space we had called home for 8 years. Unfortunately, we are one of many small arts and social justice based non-profits this has happened to in Brooklyn.
While WMRC is very thankful to have found a great, temporary space to land at the Brooklyn Commons, a co-working space in Flatbush, this surprise relocation has been a huge shift for the organization, and the unexpected costs have nearly doubled our monthly expenses.
Not only have we an increase in rent for our administrative offices, we have also had to place all of our musical gear into a nearby storage facility until we can find a new home.
Help support WMRC's unexpected relocation costs so we can continue to offer free and sliding scale, year-round programs to over 600 youth from all 5 boroughs in New York City.
